Euro Arts Ensemble Invitation Concert
On Sunday, February 26 at 7:30pm at IYF Center, Seoul, there was Euro Arts Ensemble Invitation Concert.
The beautiful melody created by top artists from Germany and Korea, inspired 2500 audience.
In the concert venue, the IYF center, the audience came in crowds from 5:00pm and waited out in line for 2 hours until 7:00pm when the entrance was allowed. It was a surprising squall.
At 7:30pm, a curtain was raised by the pre-opening stage, Latin-American and European traditional dances by Korean young students, which made performance atmosphere highly be elated.
The concert starting with the announcer’s neat introduction to performers and program, was the chamber music performance of the highest level, which could not be seen easily anywhere. Performers played Viola and Piano Duo, Horn Trio, Clarinet Quintett from Massenett, Enescu, Brahms and Mozart. 8 artists played, putting their energy into each work and making the most of the peculiar sound of each instrument: Horn the attractiveness of soft mezzo-tone, Clarinet brilliant melody coming and going freely low and high pitched sounds and Viola generous tone color neither light nor heavy.
They showed the essence of the chamber music, playing 5 works in the wonderful harmony.
Especially, German cellist “Maintz” played Bach Cello Suite No.3. He, with abundant tone color and profound playing, raised the performance level higher and left the reverberations of cello in full audience’s heart. |
