A native of Seoul, Korea,
Jeewon Park studied at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in the
United States. She received her Bachelor of Music, Master of Music,
Graduate Performance Diploma, and Doctor of Musical Arts from Peabody
Conservatory. During her studies in the United States, she was winner
of the Baltimore Music Club Competition and Mu Phi Epsilon Scholarship
Competition.
After finishing her studies in 2002, she returned to Korea where
she has led an active and successful career in music, both as educator
and pianist. She is also actively involved in chamber music recitals
as well as solo recitals.
She performed as a soloist with the Korean Chamber Orchestra, Seongnam
Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul String Ensemble, and Krasnoyark National
Theatre Orchestra in Korea, Allgaeu Sinfonietta in Germany, Sttugart
String Quartet in Hungary, and the Russia Symphony Orchestra in
Russia.
Recently, She gave a piano recital at Sibelius Academy in Helsinki,
Finland. She joined the Euroasia Music Festival 2009 as a faculty
member. |
